ABOUT

HELLO
My name is Adam Żurawiecki. As a director and writer, I’m passionate about exploring the symbolic borderlines where cultures clash, and new opportunities emerge. I believe that when there are more answers than questions, freedom ends. I aim to delve into this notion through cinema, exploring its complexities and implications. Cinema began as entertainment, and I believe we should address complex subjects in an accessible and entertaining way to have a significant impact. I wrote, produced, and directed “Cookie Box” with this philosophy in mind.
COOKIE BOX
“Cookie Box” is a film at the intersection of Migration and Domestic Violence. It narrates multiple stories of women who experience oppression and violence at the hands of others. “Cookie Box” speaks of day-to-day issues that are personal, local, yet universal. It is a story about defiance and survival. It touches upon complexity and the multifaceted realities of people, identities, and the roles these play in everyday life. “Cookie Box” plays with assumptions, stereotypes, and expectations. It challenges one’s perspective, adjusting that to today’s complex realities and interactions, reminding the audience that there are still crucial values we all can identify with.
